Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Appian-based solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Extensively deal with stakeholders/Cross-functional teams to understand requirements and communicate with offshore/onsite teams while doing hands-on development.
- Integrate Appian with third-party systems and COTS products using RESTful services, messaging frameworks, and modern APIs.
- Build reusable components, process models, rules, interfaces, and record types using Appian best practices.
- Work closely with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into functional applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with Bitbucket, Jenkins, and scripting tools like PowerShell or Python.
- Guide release management, code baselines, and version control in coordination with DevOps.
- Oversee peer code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure delivery quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA, Confluence, and Agile ceremonies.
Required Technical Skills
- Proven experience as a Appian Business System Analyst, in a BPM or low-code platform environment.
- Jira experience is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Appian platform and its components.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience in testing and/or systems background.
- Solid understanding of operational procedures and systems.
- Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation.
- Programming and/or IT background.
- Appian development experience, preferably on 22.x.
- Strong background in Java/J2EE, Node.js, RESTful API integration.
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket) and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with Apigee, TLS, Azure API Management, AWS.
- Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, Kafka, and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with DocuSign, SharePoint, Okta SSO.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
