Responsible for driving organic growth and visibility to assigned product categories, site segments, and experiences on homedepot.com. This role analyzes website performance and follows Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to identify and implement optimization strategies, ensuring homedepot.com ranks competitively for targeted keywords. Coordination with internal business teams, engineering partners, third-party service providers, and vendors is required.
Responsibilities
- Cross-functional partnership (20%) – Meet with key stakeholders and business partners to align on opportunities and risks, strategic priorities, and share category/site-level insights. Represent SEO for assigned categories and ensure SEO metrics are understood and prioritized in overall workstreams.
- Professional Development and Process Improvement (10%) – Stay informed on the latest industry changes in SEO and incorporate new strategies into existing processes.
- Project planning and implementation (25%) – Collaborate with cross-functional partners to plan, prioritize, and implement SEO optimizations.
- Reporting & Measurement (15%) – Track the performance of assigned categories/functions, measure the impact of SEO optimization projects, and provide data-driven insights for continued improvement.
- SEO Strategy and Analysis (30%) – Monitor keyword/site performance and conduct research to identify opportunities to increase organic traffic and content visibility.
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum Work Experience: 3 years.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience with enterprise-level SEO, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Proven track record advocating for SEO, prioritizing work in a highly matrixed environment, and measuring the impact of optimizations.
- Deep experience with SEO and industry-accepted best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and identify insights.
- Experience with enterprise-level SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Deepcrawl, Brightedge, Moz, etc.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Work Environment
- Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
