About the role

This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting user stories, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels. This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. This position facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters business knowledge and understanding among business systems analysts and project stakeholders.
  • Broker consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs.
  • Elicit and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requests.
  • Create and determine modeling approach to represent requirement information in graphical forms that augment textual representation.
  • Facilitate requirement sessions with stakeholders and create comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability of requests.
  • Understand how projects align to broader organizational goals and business benefit.
  • Provide SME leadership and consulting support on complex tasks.
  • Initiate and execute initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the team.
  • Review deliverables and provide input for other analysts.
  • Develop a business analysis work-plan to manage own tasks, deliverables, schedule and provide information to stakeholders and Project Management.
  • Facilitate business leadership and other company stakeholders in the definition of business roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Acceptable areas of study include Quantitative discipline
  • 4-7 years Systems analysis experience with understanding strategic business information systems
  • Experience with SharePoint

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of all business channels
  • Develops a business analysis work-plan to manage own tasks, deliverables, schedule and provide information to stakeholders and Project Management
  • Facilitates business leadership and other company stakeholders in the definition of business roadmaps

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with compensation concepts or strong analytical experience in related fields (such as finance or operations)
  • Deliver high-quality sales compensation solutions that meet client commitments and business requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and ensure timely, effective service delivery of compensation solutions
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear user stories and system solutions
  • Independently diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex compensation issues
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis plan, estimate, and manage work to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams
  • Adapt strategies when challenges arise and drive issues through resolution
  • Maintain compliance with controls, audit, and governance requirements
  • Take ownership of professional development by actively building technical, business, and leadership capabilities aligned to role expectations
