Sr Analyst, Business Information Reporting

Responsibilities
- Partner with internal customers to determine data and information needs that aid business decisions.
- Develop, produce, and maintain ad hoc and custom reports for a functional area.
- Analyze information contained in reports and use data access tools to pull information for reports and analysis.
- Plan and support information project needs, special reporting, and new technology.
- Maintain the integrity of information in internal databases.
- Retrieve data from internal and external sources to keep internal databases current and usable; export information to external sources.
- Identify and share appropriate information with customers and internal teams.
- Support research, analysis, and presentation of information by producing reports, compiling and summarizing information, and verifying information from external sources.
- Assist other associates with report preparation, database access, and training on information systems.
- Participate in special projects and teams; present actionable recommendations, presentations, reports, and documents.
Requirements
- Four years of experience in a business information analysis or similar business-related position involving analysis, problem-solving, planning, coordinating, and organizing.
- Working experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience building and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in business, insurance, mathematics, or a related field; preference for degree or professional insurance coursework.
- Knowledge of business and/or insurance policies and procedures, customer service concepts, and product terminology.
- Familiarity with processes, regulatory, and compliance issues is desired.
- Verbal and written communication skills for interaction, documentation, and report formulation.
- Ability to understand business information needs and analyze data requests under tight time constraints.
Preferred Skills
- Python for advanced analytics and automation.
- Snowflake experience with cloud data warehousing.
- Dataiku familiarity.
Work Arrangement
This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis with a work schedule of 2 days in office and 3 days remote. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of 1000 Yard Street, Grandview, OH 43215. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization and Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program. The role is intended for Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, Arizona, with occasional consideration for internal remote candidates with critical industry skills.
