Business Information Analyst Sr

About the Role

This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, report, and develop recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics.
• Provide technical assistance to lower-level staff.
• Cost of Care reporting and data analytics.
• Create and maintain business requirement documentation.
• Create and maintain databases to track business performance.
• Analyze data and summarize performance using summary statistical procedures.
• Develop and analyze business performance reports (e.g., for claims data, provider data, utilization management data) and provide notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
• Create and publish periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
• Devise the best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
• Make recommendations based upon data analysis.

Requirements

Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL or other data querying methods and statistical software.
• Experience creating reports with Tableau.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to design reports/KPIs and create requirement artifacts.
• Ability to manipulate large sets of data.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
