About the role

We are seeking a full-time Sr Analyst to work preferably in our Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, or Dallas, TX office locations. Our services include valuation, tax, engineering, and financial consulting for financial reporting, tax reporting, property insurance, transaction advisory, litigation support, and financing. Common valuation products include purchase price allocations, liquidation valuations, tax valuations, property insurance valuations, expert witness reports, and testimony. We also provide specialty tax consulting and transaction due diligence services, such as utility sales tax exemption studies, obsolete inventory studies, capex and maintenance studies, replacement cost new (RCN) studies, lead time analysis, and property tax consulting.

A Sr Analyst in Advisory Services provides tangible asset valuations and consulting services to clients across industries, including oil and gas, energy, high-tech manufacturing, automotive, retail, consumer products, wholesale and industrial, food and beverage, e-commerce, media, communications, entertainment, healthcare, higher education and other public sectors, utilities, and more.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret client-provided financial and operational data.
• Apply judgment to assign preliminary engagement conclusions using appropriate assumptions.
• Create statistical models and exhibits that show engagement conclusions, assumptions, and calculations for client reports and workpapers.
• Understand and properly utilize valuation techniques such as the market, income, and cost approaches.
• Identify key conclusion drivers and account for them in statistical models.
• Participate in management interviews to gather data pertinent to the engagement through direct client interaction.
• Inspect complex machinery & equipment, buildings, and land improvements.
• Present the results of analysis in a clear and concise report.
• Document all pertinent data used in analysis for record-keeping.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant valuation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, business, or a similar field from an accredited college/university.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other office software in a Windows environment.
