About the role

This position is responsible for participating in implementation, maintenance, and detailed analysis of models, studies, and systems that use actuarial principles for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and other actuarial functions. You will run and develop complicated models, perform detailed analysis of results, and create simple written and oral presentations to provide basic information for decision-making. The role requires an understanding of basic business and actuarial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of actuarial models, studies, and systems.
• Run and develop complex models and perform detailed analysis of results.
• Prepare written and oral presentations to support decision-making.
• Apply actuarial principles to pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics. Other Bachelor’s (or higher) degrees may be considered.
• Completion of 3 ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) exam equivalents based on the Society of Actuaries’ Education and Examination System.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience.
• Verbal and written communication skills for preparing documentation, facilitating training, and participating in presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming languages.
• Actuarial experience in the health insurance or related field.

This role is hybrid with an in-office requirement of 3 days a week. VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.

Pay

$61,500.00 - $136,100.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
