Sr Financial Analyst
About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the organization by providing timely, accurate, and insightful business expense performance analyses to management. They gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, future requirements, and operating forecasts. They develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control while performing technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor financial expense performance for business partners
- Review and approve expense requisitions, highlighting items outside of budget parameters
- Create departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reports
- Develop and implement scalable processes and procedures to report key business metrics
- Support the accounting close process and audit reporting
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement projects across all functional groups
- Collaborate with various teams to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VBA macros, and lookup functions
- Proficiency in database applications such as Qlikview
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving moderate to complex financial issues
- Experience supporting an R&D/Engineering organization is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify interdependencies, and mitigate potential risks
- Sound judgment and confidentiality in handling information and issues, adhering to defined policies and practices
- Collaborative work style, strong service orientation, and effective interaction with all levels of organizational staff

Benefits
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations. Remote USA: $100,900—$120,000 USD.
