Sr. Accounts Payable Processor

Key Responsibilities

  • Process AP invoices, checks, wires/ACH, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Collaborate with department heads, purchasing, and receiving teams for approvals
  • Manage vendor relationships: monitor payments and resolve open issues
  • Prepare/review AP accruals, prepaid amortization, fixed assets depreciation, deferred rent, and reconciliations
  • Aid in month-end close, account reconciliation, journal entries, SOX compliance, and financial audits
  • Ensure timely 1099 filings
  • Guide Accountant/Staff Accountant on AP processing and accounting questions
  • Identify and implement process improvements; participate in ERP system upgrades
  • Support team with other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance
    • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
    • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
    • Proficiency with Excel (vlookup, if functions, pivot tables, etc.)
    • Hands-on GL experience
    • Strong communication and analytical skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
    • Experience with Expandable ERP systems a plus

As a Senior Accountant / Senior AP Specialist, you will play a key role in AP and GL accounting, financial audits, SOX compliance, and month-end close processes.
