About the Role
To monitor the establishment and maintenance of payment sources for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, including investigating issues and implementing solutions while following all NHLC rules and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
- Education and experience must be in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, collect, analyze, upload, and review financial reports and NH Treasury’s bank reports regarding a variety of accounts receivable to General Ledger.
- Research and resolve any variances.
- Prepare and reconcile revenue funds to ensure funds are posted to the correct revenue source.
- Investigate licensee finance and payment-related questions, develop and implement solutions, and educate customers on the NH State Liquor Commission cash/credit management program.
- Review and resolve store inquiries regarding daily store financials and customer payments.
- Maintain the NH State Liquor Commission office petty cash and revolving fund, including:
- Preparation and disbursement of checks.
- Accounting for proper general ledger account numbers.
- Preparation of necessary paperwork for petty cash replenishment.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for the office revolving fund bank account.
- Provide guidance and cross-functional support to NHLC Accounts Receivable staff.
- Develop and maintain procedural documents for the position according to established guidelines.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks, including research, analysis, and reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing ad-hoc reports.
- Treat all contacts with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
