Sr. Accountant - FP&A

About the role

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, business insights, and decision-making initiatives across the organization. The role offers broader exposure than a traditional accounting position and is well-suited for someone who is comfortable working with general guidance, applying strong critical thinking skills, and proactively moving projects and analyses forward.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related insurance schedules

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)

• Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes

• Partner cross-functionally to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency

• Mentor and provide guidance to accounting team members, fostering growth and excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Experience with financial analysis or similar FP&A work

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience

• CPA strongly preferred

• Insurance or statutory accounting experience strongly preferred

• Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide team members

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
