We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our finance team in Anderson, Indiana. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and partnering with both accounting colleagues and operational leaders. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting compliance. Responsibilities: • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing financial activity, addressing posting discrepancies, and confirming alignment with accounting standards and internal policies. • Oversee daily cash activity and ensure bank transactions are recorded accurately, with monthly reconciliations completed on time and supported by clear documentation. • Contribute leadership to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities through preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial variance analysis. • Coordinate intercompany accounting for designated entities by balancing accounts, resolving differences, and communicating with affiliate teams to meet reporting deadlines. • Administer fixed asset accounting for assigned locations, including capitalization, transfers, retirements, depreciation entries, and reconciliation of supporting records. • Prepare financial insights that support cash flow and liquidity reporting by identifying meaningful trends, highlighting risks, and collaborating on follow-up actions. • Support planning activities by validating cost center and internal order structures, confirming ledger mappings, and assisting with reporting needs tied to budgets and forecasts. • Drive efficiencies across accounting operations by enhancing standard procedures, supporting automation efforts, mentoring less experienced team members, and assisting with special analyses as needed. • Demonstrated experience with month-end close activities in a corporate or manufacturing accounting environment. • Strong working knowledge of general ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation. • Experience completing bank reconciliations and managing cash-related accounting transactions with accuracy and timeliness. • Ability to analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues independently. • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, and accrual-based accounting practices. • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance teams, operational leaders, and audit stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
