We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting activities for a long-term contract position. This role is well suited for someone who can manage close-cycle tasks, maintain accurate records, and contribute to consistent reporting deliverables. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger knowledge, sound analytical ability, and clear communication skills in a collaborative accounting environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead key month-end close activities by preparing recurring journal entries and maintaining timely general ledger updates.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, intercompany balances, and fixed assets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review period-to-period account movements and investigate notable variances to support reliable financial results.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting by organizing financial data and assisting with the preparation of supporting schedules.
- Develop and maintain clear process documentation for recurring reporting packages to promote consistency and team alignment.
- Support management reporting needs by compiling regular financial information in a logical and easy-to-follow format.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations using strong accuracy and established accounting procedures.
- Utilize tools such as NetSuite and Microsoft Excel to analyze data, maintain records, and improve reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance review.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles; familiarity with U.S. statutory accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and financial statement support.
- Experience working with NetSuite and advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with a disciplined, process-driven approach to work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Flexibility to collaborate across time zones when needed to support the U.S. accounting team.
