A rapidly scaling start-up ready to shake up the insurance space. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented Accounting + Finance team. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in financial decision-making and operations as we continue to enhance our business profitability. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Participate in tax audits and payroll preparations.
- Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
- Organize financial data into usable information and maintain updated records.
- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Ensure compliance with state revenue service.
- Use NetSuite for various accounting operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with a particular emphasis on NetSuite.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent numerical skills with an ability to spot inaccuracies.
- Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Pay
$90,000 - $110,000 per year
