Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting support in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to various GoTo Foods constituents. The individual will maintain adequate internal controls and protect company assets while demonstrating the core competencies below. Essential Functions Own the end-to-end billing and invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing in accordance with contractual agreements.Own specific accounting processes which includes the calculation of accruals, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing supporting schedules.Review and apply incoming payments accurately to customer accounts, invoices, and open balances.Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, payment deductions, chargebacks, and discrepancies between amounts billed and payments received.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items for timely resolution.Support month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts receivable and revenue transactions.Prepare recurring financial and operational reports related to collections, AR Aging, billing performance, and cash application.Analyze trends, variances, and exceptions, providing insights and recommendations to management to improve financial performance and process efficiency.Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.Maintain documentation of procedures, controls, and reconciliation processes ensuring compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.Assist with audit requests by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.tial Functions General ledger financial accounting which may include but is not limited to: Accrual accounting Journal entries Advertising and marketing expenses Account reconciliations Payroll accounting Property taxes Invoice and miscellaneous accruals Debt accounting Fixed assets Prepaid expenses Lease accounting Other assets accounting Prepares and maintains balance sheet account reconciliations and general ledger accountanalyses and prepares periodic review presentations for accounting management. Participates in external audit as necessary by assisting Manager in the preparation of requiredschedules and supplemental information, and/or responding to inquiries of external auditors Assist in various special projects as needed including transitioning of roles to the Corporate Office Education Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or related degree, RequiredMaster’s in accounting/finance or Relevant Professional certification preferred Work Experience 4+ years of accounting experience in accounts receivable, revenue accounting, billing, or general accounting.Strong experience with complex account reconciliations.Reconciliations involving royalties or rebates is preferred.Experience in franchise, retail, distribution, consumer products, or multi-unit business environments.Experience performing bank reconciliations and cash management accounting activities.Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, and financial reporting.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Experience in high-volume transaction environments preferred· 3-5 years, Accounting Work Experience, Required Ability to complete tasks timely and adhere to deadlines Experience with widely-used ERP / accounting systems (Microsoft AX, Net Suite, PeopleSoft,Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Oracle, Intacct, etc.), Required US GAAP experience with emphasis in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, leaseaccounting, payroll, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets, Preferred Quick service, franchise operations, and/or hospitality industry experience, Preferred Experience in systems implementation and process improvements, Preferred Skills Extremely detail-oriented, quick learner and ability to work independentlyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Flexibility with evolving role Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
