Our client is a highly prestigious global CPG organization with a portfolio of some of the most recognized and respected brands in the industry. They are seeking a high-caliber Senior Accountant to join a talented finance team led by a Controller with a unique blend of controllership and FP&A experience. The team includes former Big 4 professionals, CPAs, and rotational talent, offering an environment with tremendous exposure, mentorship, and growth opportunities.

About the role

This is far more than a traditional Senior Accountant role—it’s a rare opportunity to expand into a true Accounting + FP&A position. You’ll gain meaningful exposure to forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and decision support while partnering directly with key stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources. The role involves understanding spending, managing budgets, analyzing performance, and driving smarter business decisions.

This is a core accounting GL/US GAAP role with FP&A responsibilities (budgeting, forecasting, modeling). You’ll report to the Controller and work closely with the Treasury Manager’s team. SAP experience and familiarity with IFRS are pluses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Engage in FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Partner with Marketing, HR, and Operations to analyze spending, manage budgets, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand financial performance and business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a product-based sector (wholesale, apparel, retail, or manufacturing).
  • Big 4/public accounting experience and/or a CPA designation are strong pluses.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong dynamic personality with a team-oriented mindset.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance).
  • Eligibility to enroll in the company 401(k) plan.
  • Discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.

Pay

Compensation range: $95,000 – $120,000 base salary.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office (Midtown location) and 2 days remote.
