Sr. Accountant (5791) with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review Journal Entries with detailed supporting documentation
• Create, reconcile, and/or approve assigned balance sheet accounts for several legal entities
• Research unreconciled balances and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper and timely clearing
• Escalate aged unresolved variances to the Senior Controller or Controller
• Develop automation to improve accuracy and create efficiency
• Aid in preparation of audit schedules and other required audit support
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy
• Establish a business relationship with internal and external customers
• Ensure adjusting journal entries are in accordance with US GAAP
• Prepare and enter labor accruals in accordance with month end close deadline
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant
• Experience resolving complicated account reconciliation variances
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others and work independently
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must
• Credentialed with proficiency in import and export of data into other software systems
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

Pay

Hiring Range: $75,000-$85,000
