Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end account administration for complex fiduciary relationships, including personal trusts, investment management, estate settlements, guardianships, and custody accounts.
- Often serve as a primary point of contact for client servicing needs, anticipating issues, resolving requests, and proactively communicating progress and outcomes.
- Maintain deep familiarity with governing documents, account agreements, and regulatory or compliance requirements impacting client accounts.
- Translate client and advisor requests into actionable plans, partnering with internal service teams to execute transactions, changes, and servicing events.
- Oversee action plans for account openings, closings, cash movements, fee set-ups, and ongoing servicing—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and follow-through.
- Collaborate with Client Support Services to ensure seamless execution and a consistently high client experience.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, improve processes, and increase efficiency through proactive and creative solutions.
- Utilize and maintain expertise in key business applications and digital tools used to support relationship management and client access.
- Support Trust Advisors with account acceptance, discretionary requests, compliance activities, annual reviews, etc.—ensuring documentation is complete, systems are current, and fee structures are accurately established.
- Contribute to client presentations and business development efforts, helping strengthen existing relationships and grow new ones.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Facilitate discussions, coordinate stakeholders, and help drive timely decision-making across teams.
Requirements
- Deep functional and industry knowledge of personal trust, estate, guardianship, and advisory services.
- Strong understanding of internal bank trust functions and operational workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and partners.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-based structure.
- Solid technical aptitude and comfort working across multiple systems and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in trust administration, wealth management servicing, or a related financial services role.
