Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide resolution.
- Research and develop potential solutions to customer issues.
- Partner with clients to create retirement plan visions and strategies.
- Utilize consultative selling skills to enhance client relationships.
- Manage daily retirement plan administration.
- Identify customer expectations and develop strong working relationships.
- Collaborate with internal partners to address client needs and resolve complex issues.
- Act as a subject matter expert on recordkeeping, outsourcing, and processing capabilities.
- Attend training to obtain functional retirement plan knowledge.
- Gather and interpret data from multiple systems to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Lead effective client meetings and share best practices with the team.
- Mentor new account managers.
- Assist with escalation resolution and approve reversals and profit or loss calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business field or equivalent education/experience.
- Five years of customer relationship experience, including three years in the retirement industry.
- Thorough knowledge of daily administration of retirement plans.
- Outstanding relationship management and communication skills.
- Effective presentation, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Transamerica’s Future Fit Culture, including Acting as One, Accountability, Agility, and Customer Centricity.
- Proficiency using MS Office tools, including Excel.
- Possession of ASPPA designations (e.g., RPF, QKA) and/or related certifications.
- Knowledge of internal systems (P3, Workplace Platform, AQT, etc.).
- Ability to write AQT queries.
