About the Role
Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Senior Account Manager to expand Supermicro's customer base in targeted areas. This role is based at the company's headquarters in San Jose, CA. The Senior Account Manager will maintain the quality, efficiency, and integrity of Supermicro's sales process through marketing activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic sales goals with exceptional execution to meet sales targets.
- Make outbound cold calls to potential customers and consistently achieve lead and appointment quotas.
- Successfully manage and overcome objections.
- Qualify opportunities and create target lists for vertical markets.
- Develop relationships and communicate product and market information to potential customers in a professional manner.
- Disseminate opportunities to OEM Sales Director with appropriate communications.
- Monitor inventory, negotiate price, enter and monitor client orders, facilitate credit issues, and negotiate returns.
- Serve as backup for manager as needed.
Requirements
- 5 years of sales experience; prior experience in the tech industry is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of and experience selling server, storage, or related software solutions to customers in the cloud, enterprise, or embedded markets.
- Experience dealing with C-level executives and large data centers preferred.

Pay
Salary range: $84,000–$112,000. The salary offered will depend on factors such as location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
