About the role

Coordinates work on construction sites with the General Contractor. Leads teams of fitters and apprentices of over ten people following approved drawings to install sprinkler systems in new construction. Documents potential change orders, performs job-specific safety requirements, and maintains detailed and accurate documentation of all work performed.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally send and receive emails regarding job progress and redlines of drawings; report and document redlines on projects.
  • Maintain a daily job-related schedule and build job schedules to meet deadlines for contractors and customers.
  • Navigate Procore or other job site software to perform observations, RFIs, daily logs, follow punch lists, and update meetings and schedules.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; maintain required monthly training and pre-work safety logs.
  • Provide daily updates on team progress and completed tasks.
  • Read and understand full-scale drawings and use BIM models if required.
  • Use a company phone and computer daily for all job-related requirements.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to resolve in-field conflicts and overcome job site hurdles.
  • Track and maintain all materials on jobsites.
  • Pick up required materials for daily or weekly use on jobsites and service-related tasks.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the installation and repair of all fire sprinkler equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand design and installation requirements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer requirements for installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Complete knowledge of NFPA 13, 20, 14, 24, 11, 418, and 25 code requirements.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to understanding GSA P-100 and CE 3-600 code requirements for installation, testing, and maintenance of government facilities.
  • High school diploma, state-recognized GED, associate, or bachelor's degree; apprenticeship completion preferred.
  • Have or ability to obtain NICET certification.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and tablet devices.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.
  • Use of hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Legally authorized to work on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Pay

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Onsite
  • 12-month temporary assignment
