Responsibilities

  • Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, describing equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Contact customer representatives to determine equipment/system issues.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins, modification notices, etc., to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Work independently and demonstrate the ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
  • Retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Adequately adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting company requirements.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.

Preferred

  • NICET Level II certification.

  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Ability to follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.

This position includes a competitive benefits package, which may include a signing bonus or relocation assistance, depending on qualification and availability. The posted hourly range is $23-31, with the actual rate determined by the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and market data.
