About the Role
This is a paid internship program (25-30 hours per week January to Mid-April) designed to provide college students with an opportunity to enhance their formal education through hands-on, career-related experience in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS (tax preparation software).
- Create workpapers in Engagement Manager and SurePrep (workpaper organization/preparation software) that effectively document project preparation.
- Utilize FirmFlow (CRM/project management) and GoFileRoom (document storage) to maintain an accurate status of workflows.
- Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues.
- Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or a related business degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications.
- Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Keen, consistent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
