About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital.
• Practices nursing care within the scope of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control measures.
• Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Additional Life Support credentials such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP.
• Other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
