Outpatient Infusion RN

Position Purpose

The Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse RN at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center specializes in administering medications and fluids through intravenous (IV) lines.

What You Will Do

• Administer medications, fluids, and blood products directly into patients’ veins, closely monitoring for reactions and complications.
• Closely manage Vascular Access Devices (VADs), including inserting, maintaining, and removing various types of IV lines such as peripheral IV lines, central lines, and PICC lines.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers about the infusion process, potential side effects, and home care if needed.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• Ideal candidates should have 1 year of experience in IV Infusion or Ambulatory Infusion sites.
• Preferred candidates will have 2 or more years of medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute inpatient setting.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) — certification support available post-hire.

Hourly position

Included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95

Position Highlights

• Full-Time – 32 hours/week – Day Shift.
• No weekends or holidays required.
