Spring 2027 Internship- Golf Tournament Operations-FREE TRAVEL and HOUSING

About the role

Under the direct supervision and mentorship of HJGT Tournament Directors and staff, interns will learn to operate golf tournaments through active involvement with all aspects of tournament operations, from course setup to breakdown. The internship includes extensive weekend travel across the country and business operations training when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Provide extensive customer service to all players and families.
• Tournament set‑up and preparation, including marking golf courses, tee and hole locations, scoreboard set‑up, and utility set‑up.
• Start and score players, officiate on‑course rules, and manage pace of play.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Unpaid internship; must receive at least one (1) credit for the onsite experience from an accredited college/university.
• In good standing with your college/university.
• Knowledge of golf (preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Attention to detail, goal‑oriented, result‑driven.

Schedule
