Spring 2027 Internship- Golf Tournament Operations-FREE TRAVEL and HOUSING
About the role
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), founded in 2007, provides junior golfers ages 8‑18 with competitive play on exceptional courses and superb hospitality, aiming to make every event memorable. As the largest junior golf tour in the world, HJGT hosts more 2‑day nationally ranked events than any other tour and has partnered with Nexus, Tiger Woods, and Justin Timberlake to grow the game globally. Under the direct supervision of HJGT Tournament Directors and Staff Members, interns learn to operate golf tournaments through active involvement in all aspects of tournament operations—from course setup to breakdown. The internship requires extensive travel every weekend across the United States, including stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, California, Arizona, New Jersey, and North Carolina. When not traveling, interns receive Business Operations training through hands‑on learning and development from the Senior Leadership team. There are five operations teams nationwide: two based in full‑time housing in Georgia and three travel teams that reside in hotels during their program, spending one full week in each city they visit.
Responsibilities
- Provide extensive customer service to all players and families
- Tournament set‑up and preparation includes, but is not limited to: marking golf courses, tee and hole locations, scoreboard set‑up, utility set‑up
- Starting and scoring of players, on‑course rules officiating, pace of play management
- Other duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Must receive at least one (1) credit for the onsite experience from an accredited college/university (internship is unpaid)
- Must be in good standing with your college/university
