Sports Medicine Fellow

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, FL, is offering one (1) Sports Medicine Fellowship for the 2026-2027 academic year.

• Responsible for sport coverage as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director/Health and Sport Performance
• Practice and expand clinical athletic training skills by obtaining hands-on experience under the guidance of the seven full-time staff athletic trainers
• Aid in the daily operation of the two on-campus athletic health care centers
• Assist with Team Physician(s) clinical athletic training room rounds
• Work and communicate with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and other members of the multi-disciplinary athletic health care team

Qualifications

Requirements include:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Completed coursework in athletic training
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

Benefits

Total compensation will be approximately $12,500 per semester plus a university meal plan. The 10-month position starts on August 1, 2026 and ends on May 31, 2027. There will be considerable time off during the month of December. Housing and health insurance are NOT included.
