This position is responsible for checking in members and guests upon their arrival to the Club, creating a positive first impression, and maintaining a clean and inviting reception area. Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Club.
- Check members in by swiping their membership card.
- Ensure all guests fully complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay any applicable Guest Fees.
- Book appointments, program, and class reservations for members.
- Provide information regarding Club programming and facilities.
- Deliver exceptional service to retain guests for repeat business.
- Reception Desk Oversight
- Operate cash register and process payments.
- Manage and balance cash drawer each shift.
- Perform opening and/or closing duties, as required.
- Answer and transfer phone calls.
- Cleanliness
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels of the Sports Desk, Lobby area, and lobby retail or marketing campaign displays.
- Communication and Relationships
- Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate.
- Provide the membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information.
- Actively participate in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.
- Other Job Functions
- Flexibility in work schedule, including day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of company policies and regulations.
- Written comprehension and expression: ability to read, understand, and communicate information in writing.
- Oral comprehension and expression: ability to understand and communicate ideas and information verbally.
- Computer skills: ability to utilize spa software and email communication software, such as Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience & Education
- At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry or a related service position preferred.
- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Regular interaction with members and guests in person, by phone, and via email.
- Ability to handle unpleasant or angry individuals and problem-solve difficult situations.
- Standing as needed.
Pay
Estimated Base Pay Range: $21.00 / hour
