Sports Commissioner

Responsibilities

• Staff Management
  • Help find substitutes in our current pool of hosts if call outs occur
  • Monitor workphone number and promptly answer all questions from part-time staff
  • Assist part-time staff members regarding league and facility issues during weekends
  • Provide on-field support across DC locations
  • Assist with communications to staff about weather changes
  • Audit staff during weekends
• Sport Product & Performance
  • Monitor online help desk including emails and answering phone
  • Resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency
  • Anticipate and provide proactive solutions to prevent problems from arising in the future
  • Spearhead league audit & evaluation
• Talent Development
  • Help with maintaining and updating the Staff Resources Folder
  • Support trainings in DC
  • Recruit, mentor, and ensure quality staff and product – includes reviewing sport-specific league audits

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience
• Ability to work weekends both in-person and on-call
• Can navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment
