Sports Club Supervisor
Position Summary
The Sports Club Supervisor assists in overseeing the daily operations of the Sports Club, Fitness Center, wellness programs, recreation activities, and member services to ensure an exceptional experience for members and guests. This leadership position provides daily guidance and support to Sports Club colleagues, assists with staffing and scheduling, promotes member engagement, ensures facility readiness and safety, and helps execute wellness, fitness, and recreation programming.
This leadership position serves as a visible leader within the operation while supporting the Executive Director of Wellness and Sports Club Manager in achieving departmental goals and maintaining luxury service standards.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the daily operations of the Sports Club, Fitness Center, and wellness programs
- Lead, coach, train, and support Sports Club team members
- Ensure all facilities remain safe, clean, organized, and member-ready
- Assist with scheduling, payroll administration, and labor management
- Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Fitness Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in a luxury club, resort, fitness center, recreation facility, wellness center, or hospitality environment. Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Experience with scheduling, team leadership, guest service, recreation programming, fitness operations, and wellness services preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required. Valid driver's license required.
- Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of fitness center operations, recreation programming, and wellness initiatives. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of labor management, scheduling, payroll administration, and facility operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and club management software systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move throughout the property while maintaining operational oversight. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
