Spine Surgeon

About the Role

Concentra is seeking an orthopedic spine surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor to provide on-site care. This contract position is designed to complement your current practice, with a typical partnership involving approximately a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly. You will assist in managing medically complex patients, expedite return-to-work and functional restoration, and collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, you will communicate with employers and play an active role in case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic spine surgery services, both non-surgical and surgical, for work-related injuries
• Commit to a half-day per week or biweekly on-site at Concentra
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate your private practice
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers in patient care
• Engage in case management and communicate with employers

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work-related injuries
• Valid medical license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program
• Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
• Active Medical Malpractice Insurance that covers you while on-site at Concentra

Pay

Compensation for services is determined by a revenue share model.
