About the role

As our Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, you will join a dedicated Orthopedic Center of East Texas practice in Lufkin, Texas. In this specialized role, you will perform surgical procedures to treat spinal injuries, deformities, and degenerative conditions, from patient evaluation through post-operative care. You will work within a modern practice equipped with a full x-ray suite and C-arm, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management for optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical procedures to expertly treat spinal injuries, deformities, and degenerative conditions.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and oversee meticulous post-operative care.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and pain management specialists, for holistic patient management.
  • Utilize advanced imaging with the full x-ray suite and C-arm available within the practice.
  • Provide high-quality surgical and non-surgical care, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients with spinal disorders.
  • Manage patient documentation and records efficiently within the practice's systems.
  • Maintain open communication with referring providers and contribute to the center's reputation for excellence in specialized orthopedic care.
  • Understand, support, and implement the facility's mission to deliver healthcare to those in need.
  • Ensure patient care and satisfaction consistently meet or exceed quality standards in all job responsibilities.
  • Educate patients on clinical and managed care, actively participating as an effective clinic team member in task forces as appropriate.
  • Meet productivity targets, effectively utilizing clinic financial and performance information to drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, protect sensitive data, and adhere to all organizational and departmental safety standards and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, exhibiting exceptional customer service in all interactions with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff, and the broader healthcare community.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery, with fellowship training in Spine Surgery.
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Texas.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal injuries, deformities, and degenerative conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with allied health professionals and manage complex patient cases.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered spine care in an independent practice setting.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $707,990 - $1,199,993 per year.
