About the role

Assess and evaluate patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope, in accordance with the plan of care, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Evaluate patient function using diagnostic tests and assist physicians in developing treatment plans.
• Implement interventions to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions.
• Monitor and document patient responses and progress, reporting to supervising medical staff.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy techniques.
• Adapt to diverse home environments, regardless of patient background or condition.

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit.

Preferred Skills

• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
