Holy Cross Pediatric Therapy Center is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2025 and provides services 5 days a week, ensuring expanded access, especially to working families. This facility will also house a state-of-the-art primary care facility, women’s specialty services, acupuncture and massage therapy, laboratory services, education facilities, a teaching kitchen, a clothing closet, and a food pharmacy. Community health workers and social worker/case managers will be available to all programs, offering a comprehensive, family-centered approach to meet the needs of patients and families.

About the Role

This position is designed to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children, improving their health and quality of life. The role focuses on improving access and opportunity for children from poor communities with limited resources, aiming to enhance health equity and decrease disparities. The Speech-Language Pathologist will design and implement programs to address each child’s areas of need, increasing overall function and participation. Individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments, and goals will be monitored at each session with family input and in accordance with each child’s abilities to achieve optimal function, movement, and injury prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements.
  • Set functional, realistic, and measurable goals, ensuring consistent achievement by the patient.
  • Design functional treatment plans reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporating applicable reimbursement issues.
  • Re-evaluate and discharge patients within appropriate time frames.

Requirements

  • Florida state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • MA/MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Must currently hold or be in the process of completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

$15,000 sign-on bonus.
