Speech Therapist (Pediatrics)

About the role

Create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children that will improve their health and quality of life. This role focuses on improving access and opportunity to children from poor communities with limited resources to enhance health equity and decrease disparities. The uniquely created area will design and implement programs to improve each child’s areas of need, increasing overall function and participation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements.
• Set functional, realistic, and measurable goals; ensure consistent achievement of those goals.
• Design functional treatment plans reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporate applicable reimbursement issues.
• Re-evaluate and discharge patients within appropriate time frames.
• Monitor individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments, and goals at each session with family input, aligning with each child’s abilities to achieve optimal function, movement, and injury prevention.

Requirements

• Florida state licensure in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
• MA/MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Must currently hold or be in the process of completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
