About the role

We seek a skilled Speech Therapist to join our autonomous team delivering speech therapy treatment. This role evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, assesses patients, and monitors progress towards treatment goals. You'll ensure patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience, and quality of care metrics. You'll also assist in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, assesses patients, and monitors progress toward treatment goals.
  • Maintains patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Attains established productivity levels set forth by administration, including but not limited to access to care, patient experience and quality.
  • Aids in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanations of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in speech language pathology.
  • Current speech pathologist license in the state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity from another state.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in order to deal with a variety of patients and diagnoses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand.

Skills

  • Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
