About the role
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders in home or facility settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement plans of treatment and care plans.
- Assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders using professional judgment.
- Administer diagnostic tests and interpret results.
- Monitor patient progress, document findings, and report changes.
- Provide patient and family education, including alternative communication systems.
- Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and maintain confidentiality.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA).
- At least six months of relevant experience; home health experience preferred.
- Current, unrestricted license and CPR certification.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
