Speech Therapist - Clinical Fellowship

Responsibilities

  • Complete a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in accordance with ASHA guidelines and standards.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
  • Provide therapy interventions in an acute care hospital setting, supporting patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Participate in discharge planning and contribute to continuity of care.

Requirements

  • SLP (Speech Language Pathology Provisional License)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Master's Degree

Qualifications

  • Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passionate about providing quality patient care.
