Responsibilities
- Complete a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in accordance with ASHA guidelines and standards.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Provide therapy interventions in an acute care hospital setting, supporting patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Participate in discharge planning and contribute to continuity of care.
Requirements
- SLP (Speech Language Pathology Provisional License)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Master's Degree
Qualifications
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passionate about providing quality patient care.
