Speech Therapist Job Summary

Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled to determine the need for evaluation and/or intervention.
Evaluate residents per physician orders to obtain comprehensive data to be utilized in developing the plan of care for swallowing, communication and/or cognition.
Provide Speech Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care.
Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT and facility success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Masters in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• A current Florida Speech Therapy Pathology License
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be computer/tech savvy
• Experience with Swallowing Disorders and bedside swallow evaluation
