Speech Therapist

Essential Responsibilities

• Treats a variety of ages including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.
• Performs duties with competence in skills and professionalism.
• Actively participates in the growth and development of their department including quality management.

Qualifications

• Mets qualifications of a licensed PT/OT/SLP/CF-SLP.
• Inpatient Therapists must be licensed in NH.
• Outpatient Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Outpatient Speech Therapists must be licensed in their state of hire and eligible for licensure in alternate state (license to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
• Outpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by regional outpatient directors.
• Inpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work on the holiday and weekend rotation as indicated by staffing levels.

Physical Demands

• Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Occasional pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling talking hearing and seeing.
• Perform maximal assist/dependent transfers as necessary.
