Speech Pathologist (Part-time, Day Shift)

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county-designated trauma center. About the Role

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. This position is represented by SEIU.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Required
• Two years’ speech-language pathology experience: Preferred
• Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information before evaluations and during the course of treatment.
• Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
• Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
• Supervises assistants and support staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $53.61 to $80.34 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
