Speech Pathologist - FEES Endoscopist

About the role

Powerback is seeking an energetic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join Powerback Swallow Solutions’ team of FEES Endoscopists. This SLP’s primary job duty will be providing Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to the adult population in the post-acute care setting. The position focuses primarily on completing FEES in a set geography, so the ability to travel is required. While the clinician will mainly perform FEES, they will also provide patient care in the post-acute setting for other diagnoses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) for the adult population in post-acute care settings.
• Travel within a designated geography to complete FEES assessments.
• Provide patient care for other diagnoses in the post-acute setting as needed.
• Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures, including those within the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
• Participate in required orientation and training programs.
• Promptly report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to a supervisor, Compliance Liaison, or the Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline.
• Cooperate with monitoring, audit functions, and investigations.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement activities as requested.
• Assist in community marketing of FEES and support the growth of the program within the assigned geography.
• Support the development of future Endoscopists through CEU participation and competency training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
• Strong passion for instrumental swallow assessment, specifically FEES.
• Interest in community marketing of FEES and willingness to grow the program within the assigned geography.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues.
• Willingness to assist with evaluation and treatment of the adult population in the post-acute setting.
• Ability to travel within a designated geography.

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $43.00 - USD $53.00 per hour.
