About the role

National Jewish Health is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Speech Language Pathologist to join the outpatient Rehabilitation Services team. This role offers the opportunity to work with both adults and school-aged children, treating complex pulmonary, neurological, voice and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a nationally recognized healthcare setting. Additionally, on the campus of National Jewish Health is Morgridge Academy, a unique school where children with chronic illnesses can learn, heal and thrive. This position includes evaluation and treatment of school-aged children with articulation, language, social pragmatics and feeding concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats adults with voice, swallowing, speech and neurological disorders
  • Performs specialized assessments including Modified Barium Swallow Studies, FEES and Videostroboscopy
  • Develops individualized treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing, feeding and quality of life
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams caring for patients with ALS, Post-COVID Syndrome and other complex conditions

Requirements

  • MS or MA in Speech Pathology required
  • Two years experience with speech/language disorders, voice and laryngeal disorders preferred
  • CPR/BLS required
  • Current Colorado State License for Speech-Language Pathologist or Provisional Speech Language Pathologist required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) within one year of employment required
