Role Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and develops individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing needs. This role involves implementing therapy, selecting appropriate activities, revising goals with patient and family input, and providing education, discharge instructions, and community referrals. Key Responsibilities Assess patients and establish ongoing treatment programs in collaboration with physicians.Document evaluations, treatment sessions, family education, and discharge plans according to departmental guidelines.Act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding services and equipment.Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professionalism.Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement activities.Deliver excellent customer service by applying AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a positive patient experience.Engage in ongoing professional development, complete mandatory education, and maintain licensure. Qualifications & Skills Masters in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
