About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant position is a traditional school year position within Wilson School District. This role supports the Speech Language Pathologist with providing direct, skilled speech therapy services to students.
Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in C.S.T., 504, M.E.T., and I.E.P. team meetings.
- Complete all State and Federally required paperwork within required timelines.
- Provide individual and group speech-language services to students as described in the IEP and 504 plans.
- Become familiar with the operation of instructional equipment and materials as well as office machines for preparing material.
- Prepare quarterly, or more frequent if needed, progress reports on each assigned student to include in the quarterly grade reporting process.
- Complete all MEDICAUD reports and requirements in a timely manner.
- Participate in District training as appropriate.
- Travel between more than one school may be required.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Coordinator, immediate supervisor or site principal.
Requirements
- AA/Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of an approved training program as outlined by Arizona Revised Statutes.
- Current licensure from the Arizona Department of Health Services (A.D.H.S.).
- Must possess a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- A valid state driver’s license may be required.
