About the role
The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full-time Educational Technician III for the Special Education programs at Congin School. The position involves supporting students with varying needs, primarily in grades K-4, in both special education and general education settings. The role requires working with students at different academic, social, and emotional levels.
Responsibilities
- Support students with diverse learning needs in grades K-4
- Work collaboratively with special education and general education teams
- Implement evidence-based literacy and math programs
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs
- Engage in school-wide initiatives and activities promoting a sense of belonging
- Collaborate with staff to ensure high expectations and continuous professional development
Requirements
- Maine State Ed Tech III Certification 023 or 025
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students and colleagues
- Experience working with students with varying needs and abilities
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education Technology, or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in special education or related field
- Current Maine State Ed Tech III Certification
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
