SPED Ed Tech III - Congin School

About the role

The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full-time Educational Technician III for the Special Education programs at Congin School. The position involves supporting students with varying needs, primarily in grades K-4, in both special education and general education settings. The role requires working with students at different academic, social, and emotional levels.

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse learning needs in grades K-4
• Work collaboratively with special education and general education teams
• Implement evidence-based literacy and math programs
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs
• Engage in school-wide initiatives and activities promoting a sense of belonging
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high expectations and continuous professional development

Requirements

• Maine State Ed Tech III Certification 023 or 025
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students and colleagues
• Experience working with students with varying needs and abilities
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education Technology, or a related field
• At least two years of relevant experience in special education or related field
• Current Maine State Ed Tech III Certification

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
