About the role
This position involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician to assist in diagnosing fetal and other medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct obstetrical, gynecological, interventional, and vascular ultrasound studies
- Maintain sterile techniques during procedures
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Review and document patient histories accurately
- Provide care for patients of all ages
- Coordinate and schedule ultrasound exams
- Perform administrative tasks including record-keeping
- Mentor students and participate in professional development activities
- Contribute to departmental meetings and projects
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
- Current ARDMS certification; abdomen and OB/GYN certification within three months of hire
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
Qualifications
- Preferred two years of clinical ultrasound experience
- Proficiency in ultrasound technology, patient care, and documentation
- Ability to follow professional guidelines and maintain office certification
