Specialty Ultrasonographer

About the role

This position involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician to assist in diagnosing fetal and other medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct obstetrical, gynecological, interventional, and vascular ultrasound studies
• Maintain sterile techniques during procedures
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Review and document patient histories accurately
• Provide care for patients of all ages
• Coordinate and schedule ultrasound exams
• Perform administrative tasks including record-keeping
• Mentor students and participate in professional development activities
• Contribute to departmental meetings and projects

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
• Current ARDMS certification; abdomen and OB/GYN certification within three months of hire
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of clinical ultrasound experience
• Proficiency in ultrasound technology, patient care, and documentation
• Ability to follow professional guidelines and maintain office certification
