About the role

The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. This role performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments, including computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments and ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by collaborating with the inventory supply team.

Decisions focus on interpreting area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work is performed within defined parameters to identify expectations and quality standards but allows some latitude over prioritization and timing. Follows standard practices with opportunities for interpretation or deviation.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense Specialty Rx medications under Pharmacist supervision.
  • Perform moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support tasks.
  • Conduct computations related to medication dispensing and inventory.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels in collaboration with the supply team.
  • Train and operate mobile equipment, including lifting employees on mobile equipment.

Requirements

  • Active and current Florida State Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for 10 hours.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Active and current Florida State Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Desired:
    • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB).
    • Specialty pharmacy experience.
    • Retail pharmacy experience.

Schedule

Current hours of operation: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Assigned schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Position is onsite at 11010 Florida Crown Dr Ste 200, Orlando, FL 32824.

Pay

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may vary based on geographic location, and individual pay will depend on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

$40,000 – $52,300 per year.
