Specialty Fiber Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate an individual fiber unit consisting of Opening, Carding, Drawing (Breaker and Finisher), and Roving equipment.
• Produce a high-quality Roving sliver for use in the Spinning Process.
• Immediately correct unsafe behaviors and immediately correct/report any unsafe work condition.
• Immediately report any work-related injury to your Shift Leader.
• Perform all the duties of a tying operator: transporting and installing warps, framing warps, leasing warps, tie warps, and starting up warps (smashing).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar position preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety procedures and manuals.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a 7pm - 7am schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of textile production processes.

Pay

$19.85 per hour, including the shift premium.

Schedule

7pm - 7am on a 2-2-3 schedule.
